13 Nov: Chatroom Update...

Hi Everyone,
Just to Update you all on whats going on with the New Chatroom, We have installed some updates on most of the site so please bare with us while we iron out a few teething problems. If some of you are having problems logging in or technicals with the New Chatroom please try clearing your your cochies 1st by clicking this link and hit delete all websites. If you experience any further problems please let us know in the comments & Suggestions Forum Here and we will talk you through it til we get it sorted.



In the meantime.....Hope you are all enjoying the New features, All the webcams can be moved & made larger and you can change the Layout by clicking the Video Layout button at the bottom of Chatroom. Also...To get rid of the chatroom "Dings" click Options, then Sounds, then Mute at the top and ok, plus if there are sounds still coming thruough you can move the slider at bottom over to the left. Any other questions please either come in chatroom and ask or leave message on the Forum
Have Fun in the New Chatroom, Webcams are much clearer now!
New Mix`s and Audio coming this week too! x

Unite Radio/Chat Help

This a quick summary of some of the more common problems that can affect the Unite Radio Chatroom.

Not everythings covered here & if your having real problems connecting or chatting, please contact the Administrator with a brief description of your problem, you will receive a reply.

I cant login to the chat!
You need to register before you can enter the chatroom, a form to quickly do so can be found on this page.

I cant see the chatroom
If you cant see the Unite chatroom then you might need the flash plugin, you can find & install it here at adobe.com.

The Chat room is really slow/crashes
Older computers can suffer a bit of a resource hit as the Unite Chat room can be memory hungry when there's lots of chatters online/chat activity.

To improve the performance of the chat room, try closing any programs your not using (including extra ie tabbed windows, file sharing programs, msn, etc) & use the 'clear' button to clear all the messages in the chat window.

If you continue to experience slow or laggy chat, try restarting your computer.

If none of this works, we have a lo fi no thrills chat room.

It's very basic, but it'll use less of your computers memory/cpu & should enable users with older computers to listen & chat ok. You can find it here.

I'm using Firefox & the player plays ok, but looks a bit squashed
This will affect anyone using the Firefox browser, we're aware of it & are fixing it.

Register

If it's your first time here, you'll need to register before you can login to the Unite Chat room. (click here to register) Once registered, you can also post in the Unite Forums, upload photo's to the galleries & access our Audio Directory.

After filling out & submitting the registration form you'll be sent a conformation e mail that contains a link that you'll have to click to activate your account. This conformation e mail may be delivered to your junk e mail folder by mistake so please look for it in there first if you don't think you've received it. If you definitely didn't get your conformation e mail (you should get it within a minute of registering) please email the Administrator with your username Or, if your speaking to someone via instant message who's already in the Unite chat room, ask them to contact an admin in the chat to activate the account on the spot.
